Les Compagnons du Devoir and Dorey join forces to train the next generation of technicians specialized in tarpaulins and technical textiles.
October 2nd and 3rd, 2024 marks a turning point for the tarpaulin and technical textile industry. Les Compagnons du Devoir and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, in collaboration with Dorey, have launched a new professional training program dedicated to young people wishing to obtain the Professional Title of Industrial Manufacturing Agent, option Tarpaulins, Technical Textiles, and Flexible Plastics.
Under the supervision of Pierre Noe, Program Manager, the first candidates had the opportunity to discover the advanced techniques and tools used in this sector. Andy Gory, Stéphane Bouvier, and Michel Pellerin conducted workshops on various technologies: hot air, hot iron, ultrasound, and impulse, which are at the heart of manufacturing these innovative products.
A practical activity concluded these two days of training: each participant made their own inflatable buoy, using materials provided by partners Miller Weldmaster and Carmo A/S, represented by Christophe Lamboley.
These two intense days allowed young people to acquire valuable skills and enhance their motivation for this profession. The constantly evolving sector offers interesting prospects, and several local companies are already ready to welcome these future professionals for internships. Registrations for the next session are now open, providing a great opportunity for young people wishing to specialize in this industry of the future.
This training marks a key step in meeting the growing needs for qualified labor in the field of tarpaulins and technical textiles, while promoting the excellence of French know-how.
